Time Flies!

I think I said that recently and I'm sure I'll say it again.  With children, the days are long but the years are short.  I've been shooting portraits of our boys at the big milestones since day one and I can't tell you how amazing it is to look back.  We're unaware of their little, daily changes until we see comparisons.  One of my early blog posts was about Max's first year of portraits, taken monthly, with the same chair to have a visual scale of his growth.  He began laying sideways between the overstuffed armrests and finished standing proudly in the seat.

We're well into annual sessions now as Markus turned 4 in February and Max just had his 3rd BDay this month.  And, until they're tired of me pointing a camera at them, we'll keep it going.  I'm sure I'll be doing their Senior portraits before I know what happened.

WPJA awards

The latest WPJA contest results are out... and I'm in.  Two of my images from recent Indian weddings placed and, coincidentally, both brides are close friends.

Full Frame B&W category

Creative Portrait category

The WPJA is an amazing resource for soon-to-be couples researching photographers, worldwide, as well as for photographers to get inspiration and push our creativity.  Be sure to check out all of the winning images with insight behind the judges decisions.  Wish me luck for the upcoming WPJA/Brides Magazine contest.
